Bio

Although Laurence has come from a long line of magicians (well, his grandfather was the only other one in the family), he began seriously studying magic at the age of 11. Sick of pats on the back he turned pro on the Christmas of 1990. The mid-90's were tough. Although he had successfully entertained thousands (well maybe about a thousand) the RSL and Leagues clubs of New South Wales weren't prepared to hire a magician, favouring people armed with an electronic synthesizer and a fairly good knowledge of the words to “Achy-Breaky Heart” (True story). And alas, other than the occasional kids party would perform open mic nights at UNSW's Uni-Bar (back when it was in the Square House) for discount food coupons redeemable at Student Union food outlets. Again, the public appeared to favour bizarre readings of even more bizarre poetry.

Following a 5 year hiatus, Laurence once again turned back entertaining people. But just as he has matured, so to has his material. No more the flashy appearance, disappearance and manipulation of objects. Now he manipulates minds and influences thoughts.
